Nutrition Professionals Australia Announces New Partnership

Nutrition Professionals Australia is proud to announce the new partnership with Elysium Cruise Residence.

After signing a MOU - Memorandum Of Understanding in late August, the partnership is set to commence in 2023, bringing the 5-star luxury cruise ship dedicated to long-term aged care residence to life.

Who is Elysium Cruise Residence?
Founded by Andre Sidler, Elysium Cruise Residence combines premium aged care services with elegant, luxurious sea cruising. Providing older persons with the care and the relaxed lifestyle that will enrich their lives, Elysium Cruise Residence will ‘add life to your years, and years to your life’.

Elysium vessels will be complete with world-class medical facilities, around-the-clock medical care - 24/7 365 days a year, ‘blue spaces’ with unimpeded views and ever-changing scenery, regular activities and tailored, healthy menus across five separate restaurants. Elysium Cruise Residence is a world-first that will cruise the Australasian coastlines, following the warmer weather.

What will the partnership between Elysium and NPA entail?
As the exclusive nutrition provider to Elysium Cruise Residence, NPA will adapt their leading diet and nutrition services to accommodate the diverse residents that will inhabit the 5-star cruise ship. The NPA team will be living on the ship full time, supporting residents with dietitian services from a diverse spectrum of international residents, including North America, Canada, South East Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, India, Australia and New Zealand.

A world-first for both the sea-cruising, nutrition and dietetics industries, the Elysium Cruise Residence will be home to at least 6 experienced Accredited Practising Dietitians on a full-time basis. There will also be 6 Nutrition Assistants from Australia, New Zealand and internationally, ensuring residents receive comprehensive diet and nutrition support 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

As Australia’s leading dietitians in the aged care industry, with a combined experience of over 50 years working in the nutrition and dietetics space. Nutrition Professionals Australia will provide the knowledge and the tools to ensure the onboard residents enjoy a healthier, happier quality of life and the catering teams are supported to provide tailored meals that meet the unique requirements of each resident.
